How long before I can expect to settle on auto accident?
I was hit by a fire truck. They did not stop. I reported the accident. I retained a lawyer. Now, I have been getting treatment 3 times a week for Acromioclavicular sprain, neck sprain and strain, thoracic sprain and strain, and lumbar sprain and strain. It has been over 2 monthes now, and I still feel no inprovement. I have not been able to go back to working. I did inventories and I can not stretch or climb ladders yet. Can I expect to get a substancial amount of settlement ? My PIP has been paying 80% of all my therapy now. How long does the law say you must go until they decide you have permenent damage? I live in Florida.
I am 47 years old and have been out of a job since the accident. Now with unemployment like it is, jobs are scarce and I am looking for a job that I can do without making my injury to my back and neck, shoulder worse. Can you get a note from the Dr. to collect temporary disability?
