I have preferred to talk about World wide warming because it is a major medical issue in the media.

Issues facing the environment today are diverse and great. Exploitation of the world’s rain forests, the exhaustion of smog, the ozone layer, water pollution, chemical pollution and global warming are just some of the conditions that will attain dangerous proportions in the coming decades.

The CEO’s of large polluting companies where invited to take part in the discussions to reduce emissions in to the earth’s environment. The CEO of Sun Oil Company said that the whole oil industry was aiming to reduce pollutants from their refineries. Automakers at the convention said that they were engineering the vehicles of the future to have fewer and less emissions. As persons you and I can do anything to help also. In this state alone we launch about 40,000 pounds of carbon dioxide per person each year. If energy use can be reduced by us enough to lower greenhouse gas emissions by about 2% a year, in ten years we will “lose” about 7000 pounds of co2 emissions per person.
