Pro Bono Criminal Lawyers Chicago

I need to find a good criminal pro bono lawyer in chicago, please help?
O.k. someone I love was recently arrested. They were caught with a gun. The gun was discharged but, not by him. He won’t give away who discharged it. No one was hurt. But, in his zeal to get away, he assaulted a police officer. He has been to prison before twice. I just know that he is going to be shafted trying to protect some *friends.* He’s already been told that he’ll probably do 25 to life. A public defender will not do the trick as this is a very complicated case. He’s older now and if he’s forced to do that sentencing, he’ll die in prison. That’d a pretty harsh penalty for tryin to protect your *friends* and bein a dumb drunk. P.P.S. No Smart-Aleck comments(jokes). This is my brother, so I’m not in the mood for jokes. Serious responses only. Smart ***es need not respond!!!
Secular you made me swallow my gum. Good luck with finding a lawyer who’ll work for free in this economy. If your in trouble it’s called a public defender, but in the end it will cost you your innocence.
