Lawyer will not return retainer fee? HELP!?

My boyfriend recently had a lawyer in his DUI case, he had to pay $1,000 up front to cover the costs if he were to have to go to trial. He never had to go to trial, and my boyfriend was not only making payments to him, but also had that $1,000 in retainer. Now that it’s all over, and the lawyer did an AWFUL job, he won’t answer his phone or take any of our calls in order to arrange return of the retainer fee. Isn’t my boyfriend entitled to his money back? If anyone has any information, i would appreciate it. Also, we live in the state of Pennsylvania. So if i need to call the PA Bar Association, a number would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
He did do 90 days, and he paid him the mileage, and all hourly fees. Nothing was ever touched of the $1,000.
He plead guilty, obviously, because they did a BAC test.

call your state’s supreme court and get the number to the Attorney Disciplinary Board.. they will send you paperwork to fill out and send back in.. it may take some time, but its worth it.
