When you receive a DUI, your license is suspended immediately?
My friend had one last week, and police told him his lecense has been suspended. I said I thought it was crap – he was not charged and has not been convicted or sentenced. He does not speak with his lawyer until next week. This is in Georgia, if that matters. That's what I said. I remember when I was in high school, everyone who has a DUI ticket used as proof of the license until he went to court. He said the court date it was not until like June or July! I saw the temporary suspension if your date within a couple of weeks, but a couple of months!
I live in New York, and my husband was charged with DUI in January alone. (Sucks does not it?) Anyway, has kept his license until his arraignment, which was about 2 weeks later. (Here is where you read the charges and gives your Pli). The judge had to leave. It is only temporarily suspended, who will face the reinstatement or revocation of release trial (trial date will be fixed in time as well.) I do not know if it's the same everywhere, but I think the jist is the same. Anyway … if your license is still in his possession, you are still able to drive. In New York, if you refuse a breathalizor to the scene …. They tow your car and take you to hospital to undergo a blood test. And the police have the power to take your license at the time. So I guess it really needs vary from state to state. Why do not a google search, CFA, insert name here County, Georgia? Even NY laws vary from county. I live in Genesee County, New York and we have more laws severe in the state of DWI …. And when my husband was arrested, I did a Google search to see what kind of sentence he faces. No matter how far His court date is. Their concern is not the advantages or disadvantages. If you are arrested for driving under the influence, first concern is to leave the road. But as I said, if it is still in possession of his license was not suspended. You are obliged to put in his charge. I would say you can drive that far.
