My first DWI, what can I expect?
This past weekend, I was pulled over by a New York State Trooper for speeding, 80 in a 55, I also got a DWI. I blew a .11. I have seen some answers here saying that I need a lawyer, But I don’t have the money for one. Should I plea not-guilty or guilty? I don’t care if I lose my license, I just don’t want to get jail time or probation. Does anyone know my chances or getting just a license suspension and fines? And does anyone know of a way to get a cheap lawyer, if need be? I live in Huntington, on Long Island, New York.

If you blew a .11 you might be better off pleading guilty and maybe because its your first offense the judge will go a little easier on you. If you plead not guilty it might just piss him off and he might give you a worse sentence. Honesty is the best policy. Good luck.
