If I have a bench warrant for a dui in Wa. can I try to get a drivers license in Ms.?
I have a lawyer working on clearing all of this up in the state of Wa. but I missed a court date for a “probation violation” on the account of my not being in the state and TRYING to get this all resolved. I have been to court and all was finished except for some dui classed and some fines. Now I want to try and get a license in Ms. but I don’t want to show up and be arrested for a warrant that might be in Washington. THank you
Nope. When you try and get a license in MS they will check the interstate database for driving violations that virtually every state uses. They’ll see you have a warrant and whether or not your license is suspended.
You shouldn’t leave the state while you’re on probation if you have a court date. That is not very smart at all.
