DWI & DUI Attorneys Help

DUI LAWYER $1500 or $4500?

Hi, i mad a stupid decision a few weeks ago and got a dui. Now im looking for attorneys in California and got a local for 1500 in Lompoc or a DUI specialist for at least 4500 in a bigger city…Santa Barbara. Are these guys basically going to do the same thing? Any suggestons welcome. Thanks

It does not cost you anything to “interview” a lawyer. Sit down with the regular lawyer and ask him what he does differently than the specialist. Then ask the specialist what makes him a specialist and what he does differently that a non DUI specialist would do.
I would guess that the specialist knows more about the DUI laws, the breathalyzer equipment and has a few loop holes up hi sleeves. He may also be familiar with the particular judges and prosecutors so he knows how they work. He might also tell you that all he handles are DUI’s and has only done so for a certain amount of years. None of the attorneys can give you a guarantee of the end result no matter what he would like to call himself so be sure you get all of your questions together before you sit down with each one of them to be sure you are getting the best representation for your money. Either way that you go it is going to be a long hard road! The specialist may just be able to drag it out longer than the other attorney so it may not be worth all of the extra. I work for an attorney and we specialize in one field and I do believe it makes us better at what we do but there is never any guarantees!
