What happened to Jose Padilla? And what was the evidence?
Remember Jose Padilla? Remember that the alleged dirty bomber? (A crime that was never charged) José Padilla, a U.S. citizen locked up for four or five years without trial. Last summer there was a kind of People's Court Miami that his "lawyer" an argument. Wouldnt I call a mock trial "because the" trial "has hardly been covered. (No relation Pop Tarts with a DUI procedure) and therefore did not fully grasp what the evidence was. What was the evidence against him made by the U.S. government to maintain José Padilla (but not charge) during all these years? Jose Padilla has been convicted yet? Has been executed yet?
"Testimony": The sportsman of the physical evidence is a five-page form Padilla allegedly completed in July 2000 to attend a training camp of Al-Qaeda Afghanistan that would link the other two defendants and the terrorist organization of Osama bin Laden. The form has been recovered by the CIA in Afghanistan in 2001 and contains seven of the prints Padilla's fingerprints and several other personal identifiers such as date of birth and their ability to speak Spanish, English and Arabic. This evidence allegedly establishing who provided al-Qaida training to learn to murder, kidnap and maul. "Conviction" Padilla and two codefendants were convicted of conspiracy in August 2007 terrorism and material support. Sentencing is scheduled for this week 07 January 2008 in federal court in Miami. The three men face life in prison. "Running" Has not been executed. Addendum: "condemnation" on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, Judge Marcia Cooke (United States District Court, Southern District of Florida) started to hear arguments sentencing of convicted terrorist Jose Padilla sentence and his two co-defendants, Adham Amin Hassoun and Kifah Wael Jayyousi. The government seeks to obtain the maximum penalty of life imprisonment for the three defendants, while Padilla's lawyers argue that it should receive more than 10 years.
