How many points will i get for a car accident?

I got into a scary car accident this rainy wednessday. a track drive hit me but the cop said it was my fault and he wrote me a ticket for amount $84.50 and he did not order me to apear in court but he said i have a right to if i want to go to court! i already have 4 points on my driving record so How many points will i get for a car accident? Should i go to court to avoid additional points? if i do not get a lawyer and go to court will they take my permit away? yeah i know i don’t have a license and i’m 16yrs old. what should i do? go to court anyway to avoid the points? i live in Kansas city, Missouri. thanks for your suggestions
yeah in Missouri they only allow 8 points before ur lincense can get suspended/taken away.

The ticket will say which traffic law you violated. There is no fine for having an accident. He must have cited you for one of the infractions in this list which also gives the points assessed for that infraction. If he gave you a ticket for a non-moving violation then there are no points, just a fine.
