in car accident not my fault but other driver cant be found,I have uninsured my ins co says that cant pay?
Can’t seem to find the people who hit me the address, number they gave was wrong and I haven’t heard from anybody too. my ins says if they cant find them then am out of luck . is there something else i can do so get my money for my car. car has alot of damage not driveable, i was taken to hosp after accident so all i have is police report and its not very clear? Do i have a chance to get my medical bills and car fixed if i contact a lawyer or will that be a waste of time. what should be my next step? the accident took place in columbus, ohio
In order to file a claim under your uninsured motorist coverage, you must be able to prove that the person who hit you did not have insurance. If you cannot find that person, then you are out of luck.
If you have collision coverage, you can file a claim under your collision coverage and get your vehicle repaired under that. You will have to pay your deductible though.
