Birmingham Car Accidents: What to Expect from Your Insurance Company?

You insurance policy may also include underinsured or uninsured motorist coverage.  This type of insurance kicks in whenever the driver who hit you is uninsured or has a policy that does not cover your damages.  In those instances, your UIM policy will allow you to file a claim against your own insurer.  Your insurer then “steps into the shoes” of the person that hit you.
